C. Hook Theater was created in 2007 as an extension of Peter Pan Jr. Theater, a youth theater serving the 4th - 8th grade students in the La Mesa - Spring Valley School District. As students involved in Peter Pan Jr.Theater graduated from the program, a need emerged to provide quality opportunities in the arts for young adults in high school. Captain Hook Theater, fondly dubbed C. Hook Theater, was created.
C. Hook Theater is a self-supporting volunteer theater program. The main goal of the theater is to promote strong leadership and character through the participation in theater arts for students from 9th grade to 12th grade by producing a professional quality summer production.
Auditions are held in early spring with rehearsals running up to a start-of-summer production.
